DWF is currently recruiting for a Senior Paralegal to join the fantastic Casualty team in Belfast on a hybrid basis. This is a permanent position within the team.
The Major Injury and Casualty Team are nationally recognised and one of the largest in the UK. We act for a number of well-known insurer clients and provide high quality advice on a wide range of matters that are of significant value, resulting in an interesting and rewarding set of cases for you to work on.
You will be joining a team handling a range of files, predominantly Hearing Loss cases and Employers Liability (EL) / Public Liability (PL) matters.

Responsibilities
- Ensuring, in conjunction with the Partner, that cases are progressed as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- Handling a variety of defender Casualty cases, relating to Hearing Loss and other EL/PL matters. .
- Working with our valued and long-standing clients to understand requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practice.
- Prioritising work effectively and maximising efficiency in working practices
- Building stakeholder relationships both internally and externally
- Developing your technical and commercial knowledge via training or working practices.
What will help you succeed in this role?
Essential
- Experienced in Casualty and Personal Injury caseload and Ideally involving cases relating to Hearing Loss.
- Experienced in managing your own caseload or assisting more senior team members.
- Strong technical ability to include a thorough grasp of principles and case law and topics.
- Experienced in using a case management system such as Visual Files.
- Skilled at building effective professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Extensive experience with and working knowledge of the Insurance industry.
