DWF is currently recruiting for a Senior Paralegal to join the fantastic Casualty team in Birmingham on a hybrid basis. This is a permanent position within the team.
The Major Injury and Casualty Team are nationally recognised and one of the largest in the UK. We act for a number of well-known insurer clients and provide high quality advice on a wide range of matters that are of significant value, resulting in an interesting and rewarding set of cases for you to work on.
The team handle a range of files including Employers Liability (EL) / Public Liability (PL) matters.

Responsibilities
In this role, you'll build and maintain relationships both inside and outside the company to support business growth and expand your professional network. You'll prioritise tasks to work efficiently and meet client service agreements.
You'll use your technical and professional judgment to assess risks and achieve the best outcomes for clients. You'll also research solutions to improve client experiences and develop your own technical skills, while using systems and processes to boost efficiency.
Additionally, you'll support bid development activities, keep management information up to date, and contribute to process improvements. You'll participate fully in performance reviews, lead your team's review activities, and embody the company's values. As a subject matter expert, you'll guide and support the training and development of team members, while continuously enhancing your technical and commercial knowledge through training and hands-on experience.
What will help you succeed in this role?
Essential
- Experienced in Casualty and Personal Injury caseload from a defendant side.
- Experienced in managing your own caseload or assisting more senior team members.
- Experienced in using a case management system such as Visual Files.
- Previous experience in handling EL/PL cases.
- Skilled at building effective professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Experience working within the Insurance industry.
