As our Senior People Operations Coordinato
r , you will report directly to the People Operations Manager and play a crucial role in supporting our People Operations team to ensure smooth HR operations as we continue to scale. You will assist in delivering a highly engaging employee experience, ensure compliance, and reflect our company mission and values.
A Day In The Life
- Assist in designing and implementing Policies: Support the People Operations Manager in creating people policies and processes that ensure compliance and deliver a highly engaging employee experience. Help update these to reflect changes in the legal and regulatory landscape.
- System Support & Implementation: Assist in administering People systems, ensuring data integrity for reporting and insights. Support the implementation of new HRIS and other technologies.
- Employee Administration: Handle employee administration tasks, reducing manual processes with support from automation and AI. Manage employee records and ensure data accuracy.
- Service Quality: Manage and respond to employee inquiries and tickets, providing high-quality responses, and helping enhance our knowledge base to promote increased self-service options for Zopians.
- Issue Resolution: Act as a point of contact for people operations issues, resolving them promptly and effectively and escalating when necessary.
- Knowledge Management: Assist in maintaining the People Team knowledge base and work closely with Internal Comms to deliver a self-service People Team portal for Zopians.
- Compliance Support: Help support the SMCR governance and risk management process for the People function, including regular reporting.
- HR Controls Management: Own and execute HR controls to mitigate risk, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of HR controls.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the broader People, Finance, and Legal Teams to support new initiatives through technology and People operations.
- Efficiency: Identify opportunities to improve service delivery efficiency without compromising quality.
- External Insight: Bring fresh ideas and best practices to enhance our team performance.
About You
- Experience: Demonstrable experience in HR coordination or administration in a scaling Technology or Financial Services-led business.
- Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail.
- Data-driven: Analytical mindset with experience using data.
- Compliance Knowledge: Good understanding of UK employment law and compliance.
- Inclusive Mindset: High EQ, integrity, and an inclusive approach to working with others.
- Problem-solving: Ability to generate practical and, at times, creative solutions to new situations and problems.
- AI : A keen interest in AI and using AI to streamline and improve outcomes such as improved efficiency and automation.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Presence & Approachability: playing a key role in providing hands-on support to our Zopians in Manchester. You ’re friendly, approachable, and proactive — someone who thrives in a collaborative, people-focused environment.
