Senior Pharmacy Technician
Location: Cromwell Hospital, 164-178 Cromwell Road, London SW5 0TU
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Rostered between 8:30am – 8:00pm Monday to Friday, and Saturdays 8:30am – 2:00pm
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £43,700 per annum
Closing Date: 27th August 2025 (may close earlier dependant on volume of applications)

The Cromwell Hospital is a major private hospital in West London providing outpatient and Inpatient service. The hospital has 180 beds and 4 suites, 6 theatres, level 2 and 3 full intensive care facilities, paediatrics, diagnostic services, physiotherapy, a dedicated day surgery unit, and private GP services

Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic Pharmacy team, supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused services across pharmacy areas.
How You’ll Help Us Make Health Happen
As a Senior Pharmacy Technician, you will play a key role in managing the technical function of the Pharmacy Department. Under the supervision of the Chief Pharmacy Technician and Deputy Chief Pharmacist, you will help coordinate dispensary duties, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and support the training and development of staff.
This is a flexible role across multiple pharmacy locations, requiring a proactive and organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering safe and effective care.
What You’ll Do
- Manage daily workflow and workload in collaboration with the Chief Pharmacy Technician
- Ensure patient-focused, responsive Outpatient Clinical Pharmacy services
- Dispense, check, and counsel patients on prescriptions in line with legal and professional standards
- Maintain accurate stock control and support billing processes
- Implement and review SOPs to ensure compliance with GPh.C, RPS, MHRA, and Home Office regulations
- Participate in audits, inspections, and service improvement initiatives
- Support training and development of new staff and work placements
- Maintain accreditation as a Checking Technician and contribute to CPD
- Participate in rota duties including late shifts, Saturdays, and Bank Holidays
Key Skills / Qualifications Needed For This Role
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPh.C)
- Accredited Checking Technician
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Competent IT skills and ability to work independently
- Organised, diplomatic, and assertive team player
- Evidence of continuing professional development
