We’re seeking a motivated and experienced professional to coordinate logistics and staff within our Procurement Services, with a focus on WDA and vaccine management. You’ll lead workflow planning, oversee skill mix, and deliver training for pharmacy staff pursuing NVQ Level 2 and 3 qualifications, including mentoring and appraisals.
In this role, you’ll work within established technical pharmacy codes and procedures, supporting the Pharmaceutical Service and Medicines Management agenda across the UHB. Responsibilities include dispensing prescriptions, conducting technical checks on emergency drug boxes and over-labelled medicines, and collaborating with the MMPU and clinical procurement team to manage medication shortages and source alternatives.

Manage the service and staff within the procurement, distribution and vaccine teams. Responsible for ensuring the supply of vaccine across CTM footprint to schools, Primary Care and CVCs.
Manage, develop and participate in the provision of specialist Pharmacy Procurement Services ensuring that the supply of medicines is cost effective. This role also involves management and utilisation of a WDA contract servicing customers across CTM.
Be responsible for implementing changes and continual quality improvement within these services.
Be responsible for the management and service of Automation regarding the pharmacy robot and Automated Dispensing Systems (Mediwells / Omnicell).
Be responsible for ensuring that for Prince Charles Hospital, medication is ordered in line with national and regional contracts.
Ensuring a constant supply of quality medicines through the Pharmacy to the UHB and its patients by managing the purchase order, delivery and payment systems.
