Job Description
About the Role:
At Next, we have a great opportunity for a
Senior Planning Coordinator to join our Studio based at our Head Office in Enderby. You will lead the planning and coordination of model photography, supporting the end-to-end delivery across a high-volume, fast-paced studio environment.
You’ll work closely with your planning colleagues, Creative coordinators , Production teams, and Stylists to ensure our model shoots run smoothly, meet the brief, and deliver on time. The role has shared accountability for the wider planning function and plays a key part in optimising workflows, influencing decision-making, and improving the way we work.
If you have a passion for operational delivery, content planning, and supporting teams in a creative environment — this could be the ideal role for you.
About The Role
- You will report to the Studio Planning Lead and be a key part of the team that plans and delivers model shoots for Next and Brands.
- You will own planning for dedicated business areas and collaborate with your colleagues to manage studio schedules, product readiness, and shoot prep.
- You will guide and support other team members from a planning perspective, ensuring clear priorities and joined-up communication.
- You will help ensure the smooth daily running of the studio while contributing to long-term planning and improvements.
- You will work closely with internal partners including creative, styling, photography, and production, as well as external product teams when required.
- You will be confident working under pressure and adaptable to change, while always maintaining a calm and professional approach
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and coordination of model imagery for assigned departments, ensuring efficient scheduling and delivery of product to set.
- Guide Planning Coordinators and contribute to their development through on-the-job coaching and day-to-day support.
- Maintain planning tools and trackers to ensure data accuracy and forward visibility (e.g. Asana, Airtable, Google Sheets).
- Represent the planning team in meetings and escalate any issues that may impact delivery timelines or shoot quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional studio teams to resolve challenges and remove blockers to delivery.
- Support the Planning Lead with continuous improvement initiatives, resourcing discussions, and capacity reviews.
- Provide administrative and coordination support for larger projects or campaign planning as needed.
- Maintain a deep understanding of studio workflows, SLAs, and business requirements to ensure planning decisions are commercially aligned.
About You:
- Experience in a similar planning, operations, or production role within a fast-paced studio or creative environment.
- Strong coordination and communication skills, with a natural ability to work with multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience is desirable, even if not in a formal line management capacity.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Confident in using planning and reporting tools such as Asana, Airtable, Power BI, Google Sheets, or Excel.
- A proactive, positive, and professional attitude, even when under pressure.
- Forward-thinking and adaptable, with a passion for improving processes and supporting others.
- Experience working on fashion or model shoots, or within a content creation studio, is desirable but not essential.
