About us
We are seeking to appoint a Senior Policy Manager to join STEaPP's Policy Impact Unit (PIU) that was established in 2018 to increase the use of the world-class research produced by UCL Engineering researchers in the policy making process. The Unit currently supports the Faculty of Engineering Sciences (FES) by providing specialist policy engagement guidance to researchers, enhancing UCL's reputation as a key partner for policymakers seeking engineering expertise.
About the role
PIU requires a Senior Policy Manager to strategically oversee this portfolio of projects including though line management of policy advisers, as well as providing strategic direction and further development of these areas to enhance policy impact on the national and international stage.
About you
The candidate should have substantial knowledge working in, or with, the policy community. They should understand the policy landscape, have experience managing projects in complex environments, have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and have the ability to make sense of complex topics and determine a way forward. They should be able to work effectively with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
