What we need!
Picture Shop UK are looking for a Post Production Engineer who is able to work in a diverse and highly agile environment, at the elite level of Post Production. Candidates must be natural problem solvers who should appreciate the criticality of service uptime, client service environments and content security and understand the intricacies of supporting global platforms and systems. With a broad range of post services and platforms, global reach, teamworking and outlook, the candidate must be a self-motivated team player, prepared to share and develop their knowledge and skills for the benefit of the immediate and wider Streamland Media teams.
What We Need You To Do.
Key duties will include supporting the maintenance of servers and workstation deployment in on prem and remote Linux/Windows/MacOS environments, whilst keeping a constant eye on security. Supporting centralised config management systems including MAM’s and systems development. Support the implementation of projects, as well as being part of their success.
Work With The Engineering Team To Support The Planning And Integration Of Various Services And Platforms Across Different External And Internal Client Contracts, Including
- Aspera, Media Shuttle, shared license servers, asset management, media management, Cloud platform client services, Adobe CC
- Broadcast monitors, SDI routing, Black Magic, AJA
- KVM, Teradici, Amulet, remote client session management
- Edit suites and sound studios
- Administer key services such as DNS, DHCP, Active Directory Authentication
- Avid Media Composer, Nexis, Protools
- Adobe products
- Resolve issues associated with system configuration management/resource sharing/networking concepts.
- IPV Curator
- Interplay
What Experience we’re looking for!
(training will be provided for applicants not familiar with these systems)
A broad experience base and hands on approach, with a knowledge of production system administration fundamentals and an ability to be an independent thinker and problem solver. Forward looking, resourceful, natural curiosity about technology and what we do, the role is critical to meeting client deadlines.
- Nexis, Protools

- Linux, Windows and Mac operating systems
- Proven track record of resolving issues associated with system configuration management/resource sharing/networking concepts.
- Proficient with Linux, Windows and Mac operating systems
- Good documentation and communication skills.
- Deployment infrastructure knowledge, such as VMware (vSphere), AWS, Azure a bonus

What else do you need to know?
- Predominately Mon – Fri, 09.00 to 18.00
- London based but will need to visit a few sites around the capitol.
- Work is based around 4 days onsite and 1 day working from home a week.
