Senior Product Designer - MIO, 12-month Fixed-Term Contract, London
Live shows make us feel good. They're a time to hang with our friends, discover new artists or lose ourselves on a dance floor. We're on a mission to bring all of this to more fans, more often – and that's where you come in.
We're looking for a contract Senior Product Designer to join our team as a year-long paternity cover for our designers.
At DICE, you'll be part of the company that is redefining live entertainment. It's a place where you can be yourself, influence the culture, and create work that you're proud of.
About the role
Behind every successful two-sided marketplace is a powerful B2B product. For DICE, that product is MIO, and much like our fan experience, MIO is a category-defining web-based offering used by our partners to create the events we all know and love.
We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to work with our MIO product team to make the best event creation experience in the industry even better. DICE has always been a product of firsts, and in this role, you will continue to innovate, making the partner experience effortless and delightful.
You will
- Work with product and engineering from concept to launch, delivering best-in-class experiences.
- Bring experience designing best-in-class B2B experiences, with a deep understanding of the nuances and strategies that drive partner adoption and retention.
- Innovate and define new patterns that are delightful and unexpected.
- Gather partner insights to help define product opportunities and fuel discovery.
- Collaborate with your product team to facilitate ideation and design new offerings that stay true to our principle of being "weirdly easy".
- Co-lead your team alongside the product and engineering managers, influence product strategy, development processes and rituals.
- Play an active role in communicating design decisions and product vision across teams and the organisation at large.
- Participate in regular critique with a group of product designers, writers, researchers and localisation experts to elevate our work product.
About you
- You believe that B2B users deserve the same care and quality in their product experiences as B2C users.
- You are adept at designing complex yet effortless web-based experiences for an expert audience.
- You love music, and you are passionate about our mission to bring more people together through live shows.
- You are exceptional at your craft and working constantly to level up. Strong visual design foundations and prototyping skills are a must.
- You can design proficiently for responsive web. A working understanding of native iOS and Android platforms is a must.
- You are an effective communicator, using both words and visuals to tell compelling stories, and defend design decisions.
- You are experienced in B2B products, especially two-sided marketplaces.
- You have a playbook of best practices but know how to adapt them to your needs.
- You are comfortable in a fast-paced, fluid environment where your team is held accountable to highly ambitious goals.
