Job overview
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to oversee the expansion and adaptation of the data taxonomy and interface of our investors data platform. The focus will be on leveraging and optimising our successful flagship product and the underlying data to ensure Preqin continues to lead the market in providing the best data solutions for our investor customers.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing established, data-intensive products in a dynamic environment. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to continuously improve our funds, fund managers, and performance data, while keeping customer needs at the forefront. The role will involve balancing the technical challenges of dealing with tech debt and driving innovation within a mature product, creating substantial impact on our business.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead efforts to enhance our data taxonomy and coverage across emerging investment strategies and fund structures to ensure market leadership in alternative asset data.
- Work closely with various customer types to ensure the data meets their needs and can be effectively interfaced through both our platform and external tools (feeds, Excel templates, etc.) to meet their end goal.
- Lead cross-functional teams through the discovery process, bringing an iterative approach to developing and enhancing a mature product.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and analytics teams to deliver high-quality data solutions, balancing the challenges of working on an established successful product and iterative innovation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams across sales, marketing and data research, ensuring continuous alignment with market needs and customer expectations
- Manage ongoing customer requests, platform bugs, and BAU tasks, ensuring smooth operations of core products.
- Analyse key product metrics to inform product improvements and guide strategic decisions.

- You have excellent analytical skills and experience in data analysis and product metrics to inform ongoing improvements.
- You are an effective communicator, able to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders alike.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, iterative environment, capable of managing ambiguity while staying focused on delivering impactful results.
