ROLE SUMMARY:
The
Infrastructure Platform Engineering (IPE) team, part of Infrastructure and Cloud division, is responsible for the engineering and operation of LSEG’s Group Engineering’s core infrastructure services, including data centres, storage, private cloud, platforms, databases, and middleware. Our mission is to modernise and transform the experience of our customers and our own ways of working, by deploying automation and Platform-as-Product services, to enable increasingly efficient, scalable and secure infrastructure products that better support business operations and future transformation.
As a
Senior Product Manager for Data Centre Management, you will lead the evolution of the product vision, strategy and roadmap for enterprise data centre operations. Your focus will span across capacity management, demand intake and transition planning as workloads evolved toward hybrid and cloud-native environment. You will serve as a strategic a connector between infrastructure engineering, operations, and business collaborators, ensuring that data centre capabilities align with both current operational needs and future-state technology strategies.
In support of IPE’s transformation objectives and the shift toward a
Platform-as-Product operating model, you will play a pivotal role in redefining Data Centre Services as a product-centric capability. This includes establishing a product-led approach to handling infrastructure services, driving innovation, and delivering measurable value through enhanced agility, visibility, and customer alignment.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Product Vision & Strategy: Partner with collaborators, engineering teams, and data centre operations to define a clear product vision and strategy for infrastructure services, capacity management, and modernisation initiatives across global data centres.
- Product Roadmap & Backlog Management: Own and maintain the product roadmap and backlog. Prioritise initiatives that drive operational efficiency, support scalability and ensuring alignment with business objective.
- Capacity & Demand Planning: Facilitate cross-functional planning, working closely with collaborators and partner programs to forecast demand, plan capacity, and alignment infrastructure investments with business growth and technology evolution.
- Requirements Gathering: Facilitate discussions with customers to bring together requirements and translate them into actionable backlog items, while ensuring clarity and feasibility for engineering teams
- Ownership of Delivery: Lead cross-functional teams through the full product lifecycle including infrastructure deployments, capacity expansions, consolidations, and site exits. Ensure timely execution, risk mitigation, and high-quality outcomes across sophisticated programs such as footprint optimisation and hybrid transition planning.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a conduit between engineering, team members and customer. Ensure alignment with governance frameworks, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and drive consensus on priorities and key decisions that impact data centre services and transformation initiatives.
- Agile Leadership: Lead Agile ceremonies such as print planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to maintain delivery momentum, develop team accountability, and continuously improve execution in a sophisticated, hybrid environment.
- Reporting: Delivery clear, data-driven reporting on product performance, delivery progress, and operational critical metrics. Leverage insight to advise strategic decision, highlights risks or inefficiencies to collaborators at all levels.
- Foster continuous improvement and collaboration: Contribute to the collaboration and continuous improvement culture, including seeking to assess and improve processes, tools, and practices to enhance team performance and product quality.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience leading sophisticated, cross-functional technology initiatives as a product manager or technical program management, ideally in infrastructure or hardware environments using Agile methodologies.
- Strong understanding of data centre technologies and operations, including capacity planning, hardware lifecycle management, site consolidation and decommissioning.
- Familiarity with asset lifecycle management, capacity planning, and operational risk practices in physical infrastructure environments.
- Proven track record to translate strategic goals into actionable roadmaps and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Deep experience with Agile methodologies, backlog management, and cross-functional team leadership.
- Product Management skills. An expertise in capturing and interpreting customer requirements, from experiences fulfilling a Technical Business Analyst/Product Manager or similar role. Alongside proven experiences working in roles aligned to product design & development, good familiarity with product methodology.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of establishing and maintaining trust with collaborators of all levels through clear communication, using mediation and problem-solving techniques to maintain positive relationships, and consistent delivery of project achievements.
- Communication and influencing demonstrating strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and self-motivated with strong attention to detail and follow through.
- Ability to work under pressure with initiative and a flexible approach; capable of handling challenging demands, ambiguity, and changing priorities.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for effective change management and problem-solving.).
- Essential Tooling knowledge: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and experience using planning and tracking tooling such as Asana or crucial. Familiarity with DCIM (Data centre Infrastructure Management) tools is a plus.
