We are seeking an innovative and experienced Senior Marketing Manager to lead our EU marketing team and drive the modernization of our marketing operations. This role will be instrumental in preparing our organization for rapid automation and efficiency, reimagining our marketing strategies, and overseeing comprehensive author marketing and branding initiatives across the EU region.
The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking marketing leader with a passion for innovation and a deep understanding of how emerging technologies can transform marketing operations. They should be comfortable leading change, managing cross-functional teams, and driving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ability to balance both the technical aspects of marketing automation with the relationship-building and creative requirements of author marketing is essential.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of marketing in our organization and play a key role in driving innovative marketing across Europe and collaborate closely with the APub EU Lead to align marketing strategies with broader organizational goals and growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Author Marketing
- Develop and execute comprehensive data-driven author marketing and branding strategies across community building platforms, Amazon owned and operated levers and across performance marketing to increase visibility and sales
- Develop dynamic pricing models and oversee and develop pricing strategies including optimizing existing promotions and creating new campaigns.
- Create and power digital reading programs, creating new features, optimizing selection and marketing.
Marketing Operations & Innovation
- Directly manage and lead the EU marketing team, overseeing all marketing functions and initiatives
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to modernize marketing operations, with a focus on automation and scale
- Create standardized, scalable marketing frameworks that can be easily adapted for new market entries
- Establish cross-market best practices and facilitate knowledge sharing across the organization
- Continuously monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform marketing strategies
- Manage budgets, resources, and timelines for marketing projects and initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven track record of successfully leading marketing teams and driving innovation
- Strong understanding of automation technologies and their applications in marketing
- Excellent knowledge of digital marketing strategies and best practices
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and project management abilities
- Fluency in English
Basic Qualifications
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience leading go-to-market for consumer software or hardware product launches
- Experience in marketing or marketing research
- Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
- Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using any of SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis
- Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting
