About The Role
The Senior Product Owner will be a Business Change Manager & Developer who will Lead change initiatives, continuous improvement projects and develop products to improve Alliance practices, safety & environment monitoring as well as supporting the delivery of KRAs. Also they will have an extensive knowledge of change activities with the tools and
techniques implemented in past projects. And will Promote and Champion Continuous business improvements for the Alliance.
What you'll be doing
Identify and exploit new innovative processes, techniques, methodologies
and equipment for delivery of national programmes maintaining
compliance with standards and Network Rail’s safety case and corporate
governance.
Work with key stakeholders to agree an implementation plan of proposed
processes, techniques, methodologies for new innovations.
Work with the teams and key stakeholders to establish an effective
relationship Implementing new continuous improvements which will
provide quality and efficiency initiatives.
Co-ordinate and implement respective project, processes, and procedures
for the depot and manage the CI ideas from the depot teams.
Keep the Head of Innovation and Continuous Improvement and
programme delivery manager updated on all live projects.
Produce dash boards which articulate the depot’s CI program initiatives
and projected efficiencies.
Articulate to the Track Executive as requested the depots new initiatives
Support the programme team and encourage Continuous Improvement
innovations to meet the business objectives.
Provide advice on the implementation of new Continuous Improvement
strategies to improve cost ,time, safety and quality measures.
Provide CI updates for the portfolio of works.
Who we're looking for
Strong Software Development experience with the following languages; C#/C++ especially around developing User Interfaces. Also a strong SQL knowledge is required for the role.
Ideally hold a Programme management and delivery qualification i.e. MSP, APM, AGILE
Solution & product development including Microsoft Power Platform
PowerApps
Understanding of how to implement business change
Outcome based delivery & Business process automation experience
Solution delivery/implementation and service transition as well as Business process and operational analysis experience
User story development & Business process automation experience
Strong communication at all levels of the business. i.e. depot to exec members
Strong appreciation of the business, product and data lifecycle and how
information assets and data are interacted upon
The Following Qualities/experience Are Desirable
Has a proven record in delivering continuous improvement and innovation in
the rail industry
Understanding of Information & Data governance and master data
management
Has experience of reporting and developing PowerBI Dashboards
Understanding of BIM and the information lifecycle
Strong appreciation of meta data and its application in automation
