Description

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Programme Manager to work with one of our key clients. This is an initial fixed‑term contract for 12 months with strong potential to extend and will be delivered on a hybrid basis from Cheshire.

Our client is undertaking a major, multi‑year transformation programme focused on transitioning critical operational, technology, data, and service capabilities in‑house. A core component of this programme is a large‑scale data migration, transferring high‑volume, high‑complexity policy and customer data onto new strategic platforms. The Programme Manager will be responsible for leading this migration to ensure accuracy, integrity, regulatory alignment, and seamless integration into the target architecture.

This role requires someone experienced in large‑scale transitions, complex change environments, and enterprise‑level data migration delivery.

Responsibilities:

Manage the end‑to‑end delivery of complex, business‑critical programmes, including a major data migration workstream.
Lead large cross‑functional teams, including third‑party suppliers.

Oversee programme planning, scheduling, governance, and risk management.

Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance across multi‑year programmes.

Ensure effective delivery, stakeholder engagement, and business benefit realisation.

About You

Extensive experience delivering large‑scale, multi‑year transformation programmes.
Proven background managing data migration programmes or large data‑heavy change environments.
Strong planning, scheduling, risk management and dependency management skills.
Demonstrated leadership of cross‑functional and third‑party teams.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and strategic thinking skills.
Experience managing budgets of £10–20m+.
