United Utilities is preparing for one of the most important investment cycles in the water sector — and we’re looking for experienced Senior / Programme Managers to help shape the future of water and wastewater services across the North West.

This is a rare opportunity to influence the business going forward, bringing together major regulatory initiatives into high‑impact, strategically aligned programmes that deliver for customers, communities and the environment.

What you’ll be doing

Leading key elements of our Water or Wastewater regulatory programmes
Developing detailed regulatory plans that guide multi‑billion‑pound investment decisions.
Navigating complex regulatory environments with confidence, drawing on experience from water, energy, nuclear, telecoms or other regulated sectors.
Connecting cross‑functional initiatives — such as drought planning and drainage/wastewater management plans — into cohesive, outcome‑driven programmes.

Influencing senior stakeholders through strong analytical thinking, strategic insight and clear communication.

Bringing a proactive, investigative mindset to shape outcomes, not just manage delivery.

What you’ll bring

Experience delivering programmes in regulated industries.
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, business planning or investment planning.
The confidence and gravitas to engage senior leaders and align diverse teams.
A project management degree or equivalent experience.
Membership of APM, Prince2, MSP or similar professional body.
