This vacancy sits within the MSP arm of Tela, which is rapidly growing through both acquisitions and organic growth, making it a great time to join the Tela team!

Role Description

This vacancy is for a Senior Project Engineer, based from our London office and London customers’ sites. 

Duties will include;

·      Technical consultations: Acting as a trusted advisor to clients and prospect customers. 

·      Designing and deploying IT solutions: Servers, networks, cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, M365),

firewalls, backup systems.

·      Security implementations: Endpoint protection, patch management, DLP

·      Security consultation: Conducting IT security assessments (such as Cyber Essentials, Microsoft Copilot,

PCI-DSS, Penetration Testing and Vulnerability assessments).

·      Scoping & planning: Collaborating with account managers to define scope, timelines, and deliverables.

Creating quotations.

·      Documentation: Create/update documentation (network diagrams, configuration notes).

·      On-site visits: Performing installations / resolving complex issues that require physical presence.

·      Network configuration: Switches, firewalls (e.g., Cisco, SonicWall, Fortigate), VPNs, VLANs, wireless

deployments.

·      Role model & mentor: Working as part of the London team to provide help and input.   

Person Specification

The successful candidate will receive training on Tela’s products, services and processes. 

Due to the requirements of this role, this position is only suited to an experienced current project engineer working within an MSP environment. Technical expertise is required on the above listed duties.

This role naturally becomes closely aligned with our London customers, we are therefore looking for an excellent relationship builder, who is able to translate technical terminology to non-tech’s and who doesn’t shy away from customer interactions (and in fact enjoys them!)
