The role is based in London and requires occasional travel to Bradford; our policy is to offer hybrid work, 3 days per week in office. This role is a 6 month FTC.
Responsibilities
This role requires a pragmatic, experienced Project Manager (10 years of experience minimum) who can operate with a high degree of autonomy, manage complexity across parallel workstreams, and maintain momentum in a fast-moving and highly confidential environment. Due to the sensitivity of the project, strict confidentiality is essential.
Experience delivering complex programmes for government agencies or within heavily regulated environments would be highly advantageous. Work will be required to manage procurement, sub-contractor engagement, and supply chain management. The customer is demanding and highly engaged, requiring someone who can balance firmness and clarity with strong customer care - able to hold boundaries while ensuring the customer feels heard, supported, and well serviced.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate gravitas, sound judgement, and sincerity, alongside strong execution capability. They must be action-oriented, highly organised, an effective communicator, and self-directed.
The Project Manager will work in partnership with an internal project lead and will be expected to document a repeatable delivery “playbook” to support future engagements of this nature, reducing reliance on ad-hoc approaches and enabling consistency over time.
