£40,031–£42,033 per annum
Permanent, Full Time, 36 hours per week
You will ideally be based in London. However, we will consider Cardiff, Belfast or Edinburgh (Hybrid – min. 2 days in office) or Remote (UK) if you can travel frequently to Westminster to attend meetings and other events.
London-based employees receive an additional £3,217 London weighting.
A £312 tax-free working from home allowance is also payable annually.
28 Days Holiday + Bank holidays.

About the role
We are recruiting for a Senior Public Affairs Officer who will support delivery of the Commission’s strategic public affairs work.

This role plays an important part in advocating for and securing the policy improvements we want to see for voters, administrators and campaigners. You will also contribute to the Commission’s reputation in Parliament.
About the team
The Commission’s Public Affairs team works with teams and senior colleagues across the organisation to provide high quality public affairs and communications advice and activity.
The team is expanding in response to increased demand on our work – including responding to the UK Government’s legislative agenda and delivering the Commission’s Corporate Plan.
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for an experienced public affairs officer with a strong understanding of the UK Parliament, its role and functions, and the current political environment.
You will be able to manage complex communications projects and distil complex information into digestible briefings and write for a variety of audiences clearly and succinctly. This will be coupled with a proven capacity to research, analyse, and summarise complex material effectively.
You will also have good time management and event planning skills.
