Senior Quality Inspector

Our client, a reputable entity in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a Senior Quality Inspector to join their Quality team on a 12-month contract in Barrow-in-Furness. The chosen candidate will have a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards within a dynamic and expanding operational environment. The role is fully onsite and may involve night shifts. Due to the critical nature of the work involved, stringent security requirements must be met.

• Verify weld set-ups and mechanical joints
• Conduct comprehensive inspections on various components and systems
• Ensure compliance with nuclear, oil, and gas industry standards
• Maintain rigorous documentation and reporting on inspection findings
• Collaborate with quality and operations teams to ensure seamless workflow
• Address and resolve inspection-related issues promptly
• Potentially work night shifts to meet team and project requirements
• Contribute to team headcount increase and support operational expansion
  
  

• Significant experience in piping mechanical inspections, particularly in nuclear, oil, and gas sectors
• Trade background in pipe mechanics crucial, welding certifications (PCN & CSWIP) considered beneficial but not essential
• Strong inspection background with clear and thorough understanding of industry standards
• Ability to work both day and night shifts as required
• Eligible for SC, ITAR, and UK EYES ONLY security clearances
• Experience working within highly regulated environments
• Exceptional attention to detail and meticulous documentation skills
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities
