The role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be part of a Project integrated Capital Delivery team responsible for Procurement and contract management activities to safely deliver our major transformation programme within budget and within schedule. The Programme includes multiple projects with a total value of £1bn over the next 4-5 years.
We adopt a category management approach to drive standardisation against a total cost of ownership model and you will develop and implement sub-category strategies that are aligned with business needs. All roles require the ability to collaborate and build strong relationships.
At MAG, we challenge our teams to deliver better solutions in a more sustainable way, whilst modernising practices and innovating the airport experience. Your contribution will truly make a difference to the airport experience for colleagues, partners, and guests.
What will make you successful in the role?
We are seeking an experienced and driven professional with a strong background in the construction industry and a proven track record of working in environments where Health, Safety, and Environment are a top priority. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of procurement experience in a post-contract managed environment, with a deep understanding of NEC forms of contract. You will bring a successful history of developing main and sub-contracting strategies, working with diverse stakeholder groups, and influencing decisions through your in-depth knowledge of the construction market. A solid grasp of EU procurement methodologies and the Procurement Act 2023 is essential. A degree qualification and RICS or MCIPS accreditation (or working towards it) are highly desirable.
