We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated radiographer to join our CT, Interventional, Cardiac Cath Lab and Fluoroscopic Imaging service.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and expand your clinical expertise. We are a busy GDH with a leading Oncology Centre and a minimal invasive Cardiac Unit offering both Cardiac MRI and CT.
Radiology has an established Interventional and fluoroscopic service.
We have an excellent interventional team comprised of radiographers, nurses, administration, registrars and Consultants.
The Cardiac Cath Lab runs a Monday-Friday diagnostic service and liaises closely with other local hospitals for those needing interventional procedures. We have recently moved into our newly refurbished Interventional suite and the refurbishment of our cardiac cath lab has now commenced.
The Royal Surrey County Hospital is a progressive and collaborative hospital dedicated to patient care. We are a 570 bedded modern acute hospital situated in the historical city of Guildford. The Trust provides a comprehensive service, with national referrals to several of its specialities. We form one of the four cancer units which make up the Surrey, West Sussex and Hampshire Cancer Network.
The post involves undertaking CT, specialist interventional, cardiac and fluoroscopic examinations. In IR, we perform numerous procedures but not limited to PTCs, ureteric stents, fibroid embolisations, RIGs, portacath procedures as well as percutaneous chemo-embolisations (TACE & SIRTs).
This Band 6 rotation has been specifically formulated to appeal to radiographers whose interest lies in interventional procedures and will allow rotation through our CT scanners, Fluoroscopy room, Interventional Radiology suite and Cardiac theatre. This post requires a rotational on call commitment. You will play a key role in this multidisciplinary team and will also attend relevant operational meetings.
Please see the attached job description for a full list of responsibilities for the role.
