The role
London South Bank University Smart Internet Technologies Hub (SITHub) research group (https://www.lsbu.ac.uk/research/centres-groups/smart-internet-technologies-hub-sithub), is participating in cutting-edge research MSCA AeroNet project, focusing on the delivery of in-flight services in integrated TN/NTN network infrastructure. This pioneering project aims to investigate and develop advanced AI‑driven dynamic network automation mechanisms to support in-flight connectivity services and shape the future of aviation communications.
We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly on ground-breaking technologies at the intersection of 6G, Non‑Terrestrial Networks (NTN), network automation, and cloud computing. If you are passionate about transformative research with real‑world impact and have experience in 5G/6G technologies, network automation, and NTN technologies, we would love to hear from you.
What You Will Bring
The ideal candidate will:
Support the Project Manager in the delivery of the research project
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a research-driven environment.
Participate as an active meber of the Research Team
Contribute to the project deliverables
Delivery of research activities, regarding the design and development of novel concepts and algorithms
Co-supervise the PhD students that contribute to the AeroNet project
Support the development of publications and dissemination of research findings
The ideal candidate will be degree educated, be highly motivated and bring a thorough understanding of the UK and international research and innovation funding landscape, and research policies and processes. Experience with Open Data/Research, Research Security, Research Information Systems, Research Integrity and Ethics is highly desirable.
