We're seeking someone to join our Global Risk team as a Senior Risk Officer within Enterprise Network Services (ENS). ENS builds and manages the global firm-wide network and voice infrastructure. This Risk Officer role is responsible for risk management practices across ENS. The role will support the risk agenda across multiple teams, ensuring that risks are identified, controlled, managed, and reported. The role has colleagues and stakeholders across the globe and is required to liaise with risk governance functions, senior leaders, executive management, and regulatory bodies.
What You'll Do In The Role
- Communicate regularly with product leads across the technology organization and discuss opportunities for improvement to existing and future technology solutions.
- Contribute to the function through complex project tasks and initiatives.
- Interact regularly with team members and occasionally leadership on a range of Network risks and topics.
- Lead comprehensive risk assessments for critical Network Security functions.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the risk management framework.
- Coordinate the organization's response to significant risk events.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment of risk strategies with business objectives.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level team members.
- Prepare and present risk reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance risk management practices.
- Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory requirements related to risk management.
What You'll Bring To The Role
- Ability to effectively manage multiple functions or guide junior staff and initiatives.
- Advanced understanding of business line and discipline with some knowledge of competitive environment and other disciplines.
- Ability to process information, translate into plans and present summaries to stakeholders.
- Experienced understanding of business line and discipline.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, Network Security/Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in leading risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
- Strong knowledge of global regulatory requirements and industry standards in network security risk and network segmentation.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in the execution of network risk initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience in reporting to senior management.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior staff in network risk practices.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
