Senior Salesforce.com (SFDC) Developer

We are seeking an experienced
Senior Salesforce.com Developer to join our team in Nottingham. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in Salesforce development (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning/LWC), along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders. You will play a key role in the design, development, configuration, and integration of Salesforce solutions that support critical business functions.
The Role
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of Salesforce solutions, ensuring best practices in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components (Aura/LWC), and JavaScript frameworks.
- Perform Salesforce administration, configuration, and customization, including building reports, dashboards, workflows, and approval processes.
- Collaborate with onsite teams, business stakeholders, and IT to translate requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.
- Work across multiple Salesforce Clouds, including Sales, Service, and Community, with exposure to Marketing Cloud, Pardot, Einstein AI, and Analytics as a plus.
- Integrate Salesforce with external systems using SOAP, REST, Bulk API, Metadata API, and Platform Events.
- Implement automated processes using Flow, Process Builder, and validation rules.
- Conduct unit testing, create test classes for positive/negative scenarios, and follow CI/CD deployment best practices.
- Support production deployment using tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Bamboo, Copado, Change Sets, and ANT migration tools.
- Maintain high coding standards and ensure compliance with security and performance guidelines.
What You Will Bring
- Minimum of 5–6 years in Salesforce development and implementation
- Proven hands-on experience in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning/Aura, LWC, JavaScript, SOQL, SFDX, and Data Loader
- Minimum of 4 actual Salesforce Lightning project implementations.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce administration tasks, security models, and role/profile setup.
- Experience with integration technologies and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Mulesoft, Boomi).
- Proficiency with HTML/HTML5, CSS, XML, AJAX, JQuery, and other JavaScript frameworks.
- Familiarity with database development (SQL/PL-SQL) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Certifications
- Required: Salesforce Platform Developer I, App Builder Certification.
- Preferred: Platform Developer II (or DEV 501), Advanced Administrator (ADM 301), or Consultant certifications (Sales Cloud / Service Cloud).
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of Salesforce mobile (Salesforce1), Heroku, Radian6, and Einstein.
- Background in the financial services sector.
- Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
