Senior Scrum Master

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master with deep expertise in Agile, Scrum, and enterprise-scale delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities, proven success in driving Agile transformation, and experience working with multiple cross-functional teams in an onsite environment. This role requires hands-on coaching, stakeholder management, and the ability to influence at senior leadership levels.

Key Responsibilities

Agile & Scrum Leadership

· Serve as a Scrum Master for 1–3 high-performing Agile teams

· Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies:

o Sprint Planning

o Daily Stand-ups

o Sprint Reviews

o Sprint Retrospectives

· Ensure Scrum framework is well understood and followed consistently

Agile Coaching & Transformation

· Act as an Agile Coach to teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders

· Drive enterprise-level Agile maturity and continuous improvement

· Mentor junior Scrum Masters and Agile practitioners

· Promote Agile values, mindset, and best practices across the organization

Delivery & Performance Management

· Remove impediments and resolve dependencies across teams

· Track and improve Agile metrics (velocity, burn-down, cycle time, predictability)

· Enable transparency using Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, etc.)

· Ensure predictable and high-quality delivery

Stakeholder & Leadership Management

· Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, Architects, and Business Leaders

· Manage expectations of senior stakeholders and client leadership

· Facilitate release planning, PI planning, and cross-team coordination

· Support governance, compliance, and reporting needs

Scaled Agile Experience

· Work effectively in SAFe / LeSS / Nexus / Spotify Model environments

· Manage dependencies in multi-team, multi-vendor, and distributed Agile setups

· Support program-level and portfolio-level Agile initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory

· 15+ years of IT experience with strong delivery background

· 10+ years as Scrum Master in Agile environments

· Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, XP, Lean principles

· Experience in scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe preferred)

· Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills

· Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

· Proven experience working in onsite / client-facing roles

Tools

· JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Rally or equivalent

· MS Excel / PowerPoint for reporting and leadership communication

Preferred Qualifications

· Certified Scrum Master (CSM) / Advanced CSM / PSM II or PSM III

· SAFe Agilist (SA) / SAFe Scrum Master preferred

· Experience in BFSI, Healthcare, Telecom, Retail, or Large Enterprise Programs

· Prior experience as Agile Coach or Delivery Manager is a plus
