An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive, motivated and passionate individual to join the team on OPAU.
We are looking for a senior sister/charge nurse who will lead the team to deliver safe, compassionate care and manage the day to day running of the busy unit, supporting assessment and managing flow through the OPRAA area for the frail elderly.
Our service provides assessment of the frail elderly within the unit and manages flow from direct admits to the unit or via ED/GPs therefore ideally candidates will have experience of working within a front door area and managing the challenges of co-ordinating a busy and demanding area and experience of liaising with the wider MDT team and other departments/wards to faciliate admissions/discharges.
The OPAU team includes experienced junior sisters and nurse practitioners who support the care of patients in the unit and support staff to develop their clinical skills.
