Building a sustainable tomorrow
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Site Agent to join our team on the Eastern Green Link 2 (EGL2) project, based in Drax, Selby.
This major infrastructure project involves the construction of a 525kV, 2GW high-voltage direct current (HVDC) subsea transmission cable connecting Peterhead, Scotland, to Drax, Selby, England. BAM Infrastructure is delivering the engineering works for two HVDC converter stations as part of this development.
In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient construction delivery of the structural steelwork and cladding for the converter station buildings, ensuring all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. The converter station will include ten structurally independent buildings, such as valve halls, DC halls, reactor halls, transformer enclosures, and a service building, along with several smaller structures like operating and storage buildings. All converter buildings will be weatherproofed using a proprietary cladding system.
