Senior Site Engineer to work with the
Energy Team on the
SSE ASTI Project.

A day in the life of a Murphy Senior Site Engineer:
- Act as the single point of contact for all Site Engineering works on the project, liaising with Site Management, Designers, Site Engineers and Clients
- Competent in the use of Surveying equipment such as Total Stations, GPS, level’s etc for setting out and as-built information
- Liaise with Permanent Words Designers to raise technical queries and undertake constructability reviews
- Act as the Temporary Works Co-Ordinator for the project, producing design briefs, undertaking constructability reviews of TW designs and ensuring TWS’ are undertaking inspections as required
- Produce quality documentation such as ITP’s that are in compliant with client specifications and relevant codes and standards
- Ensuring the engineering deliverables for on site works are completed in good time to allow works to progress in line with the programme
- Supervise, assist and mentor junior site engineers and help in their development as site engineers
- Carry out quality inspections in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan in a timely manner recording relevant information.
- Ensure Engineering equipment is calibrated, in date and suitable checked in accordance with company policies and the manufacturers’ defined requirements.
- Undertake material take off’s from drawings, ensure all materials ordered to site are suitable, stored in line with manufacturer’s recommendations and meet contract specification or project requirements.

- Experience in Construction or Civil Engineering projects
- Experience within ITPs, Temporary Works, Red Line/As Built Drawings
- Excellent knowledge of current civil engineering legislation as well as Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
- Ability and confidence to discuss engineering issues with people across various levels and disciplines.
- Formal qualification in Engineering or Construction subjects
- 10 Years experience in a site based engineering role
