The Role
Responsibilities
As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality social care services to children and their families. You will be responsible for:
- Working directly with children and families to assess their needs and provide appropriate support
- Conducting thorough assessments and maintaining accurate case records
- Collaborating with other professionals and agencies to ensure comprehensive care
- Delivering interventions to promote positive outcomes for children
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to information sharing
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards
In addition, you will have the opportunity to provide guidance and support to less experienced colleagues, contributing to their professional development.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
Qualified Social Worker with appropriate registration (e.g. Social Work England)
- Significant post-qualification experience in a similar role
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent assessment, intervention, and evaluation skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage a diverse caseload
- Resilience and the ability to work in a challenging environment
