Senior Software Engineer

We’re on the hunt for an experienced Senior Software Engineer.

The role is for an innovative individual with the desire to build and architect products using the latest technologies.

Reporting into one of our Staff Engineers, you’ll be working in a collaborative, friendly and experienced team. The role is a full-time permanent position which comes complete with a competitive package. We’re headquartered in Gloucester and operate flexible policies in line with remote working.

Purpose Of The Role

Joining a small and growing experienced development team and working with the business building a range of high-quality performant products for the financial industry, you will help drive development and testing best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. You will be exposed to leading design principles and development architectures such as event sourcing and will need a proactive problem-solving approach.

Required Skills & Experience

You will be a quick learner who enjoys working on complex issues and building new functionality in a fast-paced environment.

• Excited about working in a rapidly growing fintech
• Experience with .NET, C# and Blazor, with a good understanding of how to write high performance quality code.
• Understand business requirements and turn this into efficient, scalable solutions, with a desire to learn our business domain.
• Knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD) and experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Ability to write robust and reliable code.
• Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment and use of version control (GIT).
• Experience and understanding of a range of databases and their use-cases including SQL, NoSQL (particularly Cosmos DB) and Search Services.
• Experienced with a range of technologies including messaging systems, Docker and Kubernetes
• A quick learner, able to pick up new skills and technologies easily and enjoys working on complex issues
• Organised and a strong team player
• Strong communicator with ability to express ideas and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experienced with agile techniques such as Scrum and Kanban
• Mentoring and knowledge sharing
• Experience with a variety of Coding Design and Architectural Patterns

• Mobile Development Experience (particularly in Xamarin / Maui)
