Senior Software Developer – WEB / C# / .NET
Location: Wellingborough, England (5 days per week on-site)
Type: FTC (6- 12months)
Salary: £48,000 – £56,000 per annum
VIQU has partnered with a leading international engineering and logistics organisation to support the search for a Senior Software Developer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic, global team contributing to enterprise-level software solutions supporting the full product lifecycle for world-renowned technology brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance existing applications, as well as design and develop new web-based solutions using C# / ASP.NET / MVC
- Work cross-functionally in international teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Engage in full software development lifecycle, from technical specification through to system integration and testing
- Design and implement responsive user interfaces with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like Angular
- Create and maintain documentation, technical specs, and test cases
- Perform database modelling and work with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or MariaDB environments
- Promote clean code principles and participate in automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
Requirements:
- Strong commercial experience in software development with C#/.NET and modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript/Angular, Web Services)
- Deep understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and frontend frameworks like Angular
- Skilled in JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX methodologies
- Working knowledge of JIRA and Agile development environments
- Solid database experience including SQL and data modelling
- A degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification
- Familiarity with design patterns, clean code, and test-driven development
- Ability to write robust, maintainable, and observable software solutions
- Excellent communication skills with a strong team-oriented mindset
