You’ll have expert level knowledge of some of the systems the team works with - not all - and be able to communicate opportunities, risks, and roadblocks effectively to colleagues and managers. This includes significant contribution to developing and iterating on requirements with the team and other stakeholders, and contribution to balancing the short term and long terms requirements of maintenance, refactoring or redevelopment.

  • Work within the DevOps Team partnering with product teams to maintain, develop and improve our range of services including our CI systems, build systems, the testing framework and other internal tools used by Foundry’s software engineers.
  • Play an active part in troubleshooting of the pipeline, collating and prioritising feedback to input back into the roadmap for the DevOps Team.
  • Assist in managing our GitLab and source control systems and our automated build system and related infrastructure in GitLab CI.
  • Design and develop additional Python tools to support automation where beneficial.
  • As with all Software Engineer roles at Foundry, you will help to ensure the quality, scalability, and extensibility of the code that we’re writing - starting with your own but extending to code reviews and design of others as well.
