The role
As the Senior Solution Architect within End User Services, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of all end-user solutions that support workplace productivity, including end-user computing platforms, collaboration tools and endpoint management strategies.
You will also be responsible for end-user design governance, overseeing the client compute service, application portfolio, and providing leadership & technical support for IT operations and service management.

Architectural Leadership – Maintain the technical vision for end-user services across the enterprise.
Stakeholder Engagement - Collaborate with business leaders, IT teams, and vendors to align solutions with strategic goals and present architectural options and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Technology Strategy & Governance – Develop roadmaps with Product Owners ensuring compliance with architectural governance and security standards.
Solution Design & Delivery – Deliver high-level solution models and architectures for end-user platforms in line with business requirements, organisation and industry standards. Ensure compliance of all high-level solution models and solution architectures to the target architecture, roadmaps, guardrails, IT principles and standards.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement - Responsible for defining the Client Computing services within End User Services, including Microsoft 365 and collaboration, device management, end point security, application lifecycle management, printing and site & meeting room IT.
You have
- A Proven track record of working in enterprise end-user computing environments and leading technical teams relating to the deployment and management of devices and applications in cloud-based / hybrid environments.
- In depth knowledge of End User hardware, collaboration tools, virtual desktop infrastructure, Windows & MAC Operating systems, Microsoft managed desktop and end point Management.
- Understanding of Microsoft products; including Intune, Configuration Manager, Active Directory / Azure AD and related technologies for the management of corporate Windows, Android and Apple devices. And having a certification such as TOGAF, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect or equivalent are desirable.
- Skilled in communicating product roadmaps, prioritising features based on business value and user impact. Ability to work with end users, architects and technical teams to evolve the client computing service to meet SSE's requirements.
- Strong understanding of Identity and access management, endpoint protection and software packaging and deployment.
