JOB TITLE: SENIOR SUBCONTRACTS ENGINEER - CONTRACTOR (12-Month Contract)
Scope Of Services
The Service Provider shall deliver specialist consultancy services relating to the administration of subcontracts. The engagement is for a defined package of work with services delivered under the full control and discretion of the Service Provider.
Key services include independent expert subcontracts management of end-to-end supply chain subcontracts, covering the full lifecycle from tendering to contract negotiation, execution, and ongoing contract management in alignment with company policies and client/stakeholder requirements. Provide independent expertise in driving industry best practice in supplier relationship management and performance, including contract compliance, dispute resolution, price negotiations, and continuous improvement of subcontracting strategies and documentation to ensure value creation and risk mitigation throughout asset transitions and operations. The Service Provider will apply its own expertise, judgement, and methodologies to fulfil the agreed outcomes.
The Service Provider warrants it has the necessary qualifications, professional competence, and industry experience to undertake and complete the scope of services independently, without supervision or direction from the Client in how the work is performed.
This agreement represents a contract for services and not a contract of employment. There is no obligation for the Client to offer, nor for the Service Provider to accept, additional work outside the agreed scope. Any variations or additional work packages must be mutually agreed in writing and executed as a formal amendment to this contract.
Deliverables
Within the agreed timeframe and to the required professional standards, the Service Provider will produce and deliver the following outputs:
Subcontracting Strategy & Execution Plan – Approach, milestones, and risk/value framework.
Tender Management – Tender documents, commercial & technical evaluation reports, recommendation to award papers and supplier engagement records.
Contract Drafting & Negotiation – Draft/review of contracts, back-to-back subcontracting terms, negotiation summaries, and risk assessments.
Supplier Performance Management Plan – Performance KPIs, QPRs, monitoring tools, and improvement mechanisms.
Contract Compliance & Risk Reports – Periodic compliance reviews and corrective action recommendations.
Dispute Resolution Support – Dispute logs, analysis, and resolution strategies.
Price & Variation Negotiation Records – Documentation of negotiations and value-for-money outcomes.
All deliverables will be submitted for review to ensure alignment with the Client’s and End Clients contractual quality and acceptance standards. Where deliverables are deemed non-compliant with the agreed requirements, the Service Provider shall, at its own discretion and using its professional judgement, revise and resubmit them.
