• We are supporting a well-regarded independent engineering consultancy in the recruitment of a Senior Subsea Materials Engineer to be based in Perth, Australia. This role is focused on delivering materials scopes for major subsea oil and gas and carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert input on materials selection, corrosion mitigation, CRA systems, coatings, welding engineering, and fabrication scopes for subsea systems.
• Develop and review materials-related documentation and support quality assurance processes.
• Collaborate with engineers, vendors, and fabrication yards across the project lifecycle.
• Support delivery of a variety of subsea and CCS projects from concept to implementation.

Key Requirements

• Degree in Materials, Metallurgical, Welding, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in materials engineering, with substantial subsea or offshore project exposure.
• International Welding Engineer (IWE) certification is required or equally relevant.
• Background in engineering consultancy or major project delivery environments preferred.
• Familiar with DNV, API, ISO, NACE, and related international standards.
