Senior Support Worker

Hindhead

£14.53 per hour

Shifts: 7am to 7pm, including weekends on a rota

Are you an experienced Support Worker looking for a role where you can genuinely lead, inspire and make a difference every day? We are recruiting a Senior Support Worker to join a welcoming residential service in Hindhead, supporting a fantastic group of people to live more independent and fulfilling lives.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on while also supporting the day-to-day running of a service and developing others within the team.

What you will be doing

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in both care delivery and service leadership. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence and choice
Supporting the Service Manager with daily operations, including shift allocation and rotas
Inducting new colleagues and supporting training and supervision
Ordering and overseeing medication and supporting financial management

Acting as a role model, supporting colleagues to grow in confidence and capability

You will remain actively involved in day-to-day support, ensuring the people we support feel safe, valued and empowered to achieve their goals.

About you

We are looking for someone who has both the right experience and the right values. You will ideally have:

Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker
Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care
Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism, acquired brain injury, forensic histories or trauma
A calm, compassionate and confident approach
The ability to lead by example and support others to excel
