Located in the heart of Wembley’s regeneration zone, Brent is one of London’s most dynamic boroughs and we’re looking for experienced Building Control Surveyors (RBI Class 2E–2F) to join our team.


This is an opportunity to take ownership of your own area, work on a wide variety of development types, and directly contribute to the safety and quality of Brent’s built environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver full Building Control services across domestic, commercial and mixed-use projects
  • Review complex applications, inspect works, and enforce compliance
  • Take part in the dangerous structures out-of-hours service
  • Support the development of junior staff and share technical knowledge
  • Represent the council professionally with developers, architects, and residents


What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be RBI Class 2E–2F qualified with proven experience
  • Registered under a credited institute and working toward chartership with a recognised professional body.
  • Have strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Technically astute with a solutions-driven mindset
  • Have a collaborative, forward-thinking mindset to support project delivery
  • Have a Full UK driving licence and access to a car (mileage allowance and borough-wide parking permit provided)
