About the opportunity:

Safran Landing Systems in Gloucester is offering an exciting opportunity to join our Technical Data team as a Senior Technical Data Author. In this role, you'll help shape world-class maintenance and repair publications that support some of the most advanced landing gear systems in aviation. Your work will make a real impact-ensuring accuracy, compliance, and clarity for customers across the globe.

You'll collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and customers to transform complex technical information into clear, accessible documentation. If you're passionate about precision, innovation, and sustainable aviation, this is your chance to contribute to projects that matter.

What you'll be doing:

*Create and maintain technical publications that meet international standards (ATA iSpec 2200, ASD S1000D, ASD-STE100).
*Interpret engineering data to deliver accurate, clear, and compliant documentation.
*Collaborate across teams, acting as a key interface with customers and suppliers.
*Drive quality and innovation, ensuring documentation is accurate and continuously improved.
*Support global programs, with occasional travel to meet customer and supplier needs.

What you'll bring

*Technical expertise in aeronautical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience.
*Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, ideally including landing gear (ATA Chapter 32).
*Proven experience in technical documentation, including CMMs and Service Bulletins.
*Excellent communication and attention to detail, with advanced MS Office skills.
*Project coordination skills, ensuring timely delivery in a fast-paced environment.
