SENIOR TECHNICIAN

As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our teams. We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Senior Technician to join our Infrastructure Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.
We are looking for a motivated, dependable and committed Senior Technician to join our team. As a member of Structures & Pavements, you will be exposed to a range of unique projects across the country. It is key that you are able to work efficiently as part of a team, as well as having the capabilities to work independently. Due to the nature of the jobs you will undertake, there is a strong possibility of working away from home, therefore high levels of flexibility are essential.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
Our Structures & Pavements team perform an extensive range of testing, investigation and condition surveys across a wide range of UK Infrastructure assets including highways, rail, airfields, ports and harbours, power stations, sports stadia in addition to building investigations across industrial, commercial and residential properties. A career with Structures & Pavements will provide a varied workload with experiences across many of the key UK Infrastructure assets leaving you with the satisfaction that you have played a part in ensuring the built world around us is safe and stable.

We are looking for a motivated, dependable and committed Senior Technician to join our team. The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
- Carry out structural investigations on buildings, bridges, car parks
- Carry out pavement investigations including pavement coring, FWD, trial pits and DCP’s
- Liaison with clients
- Effective communication with internal and external subcontractors
- Equipment calibration and maintenance
- Maintain company profile at all times
- Previous experience preferred but full training will be provided
- CSCS, PTS, PASMA and IPAF trained would be an advantage but not essential
- Training will be provided by the company
- Willing to comply with test procedures/standards, quality and health & safety requirements
- Ability to motivate self and team members to achievement of goals
- Reliable and diligent with a flexible approach to work
- Willing to learn
- Results focused individual
- Prepared to work additional hours and be able to work under pressure at times when required to meet client deadlines
- Prepared to work weekends/nights and at times away from home
- Self-motivated
- Customer/client focused
- Respects client confidentiality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full driving licence
