Role: Business Analyst – Capital Markets (DCM & Corporate/Investment Banking)
We are seeking a highly experienced and analytical
Business Analyst with over 8 years of expertise in the
Capital Markets domain, with a strong focus on
Debt Capital Markets (DCM) and
Corporate & Investment Banking. The ideal candidate will possess deep domain knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to bridge business needs with technical solutions. This role is critical to driving strategic initiatives and ensuring successful project delivery across complex financial landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Elicitation & Analysis Lead workshops and interviews with stakeholders across front, middle, and back office to gather and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
- Domain Expertise Application Apply deep knowledge of DCM (e.g., bond origination, syndication, issuance, trading workflows, regulatory aspects) and Corporate & Investment Banking (e.g., lending, trade finance, M&A advisory, capital raising, treasury services) to understand and improve business processes.
- Solution Design & Documentation Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, use cases, process flows, and data models.
- Stakeholder Management Act as the primary liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring alignment and clarity throughout the project lifecycle.
- Data Analysis & Mapping Conduct source-to-target data mapping and analysis to support system integration and migration.
- Testing Support Collaborate with QA teams to define test strategies, review test cases, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Change Management Develop training materials and lead user training sessions to support system adoption.
- Problem Solving Identify business challenges, propose solutions, and assess their impact on systems and processes.
- Project Lifecycle Participation Engage in all phases of the SDLC, especially within Agile environments.
- Market & Regulatory Awareness Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting DCM and investment banking.
Skills & Experience
- 8+ years as a Business Analyst in Capital Markets
- Deep expertise in:
- Debt Capital Markets (DCM): Bond lifecycle, syndication, issuance, trading
- Corporate & Investment Banking: Lending, trade finance, treasury, advisory services
- Proven ability to manage complex financial system requirements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and process modeling tools
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Basic SQL and system integration knowledge
- Financial certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM)
- Exposure to project management principles or certifications
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
