Senior Test Product Owner

Our Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses all activities outlined under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. Beyond core development, ESS also integrates critical supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with ASPICE standards and delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality embedded systems & solutions.

The Role:

We’re looking for a highly experienced and passionate Test Product Owner to lead the testing strategy, planning, and execution for inverter technology products. This role sits at the intersection of product ownership and system validation—ensuring our inverters meet the highest quality, safety, and performance standards, particularly in pre-development phases.

Area of Responsibility

• Define and own end-to-end test strategies for inverter products, including grid-tied and off-grid solutions.
• Lead complete inverter test programmes across System, Mechanical, Hardware, Software, and Control domains in a pre-development environment.
• Manage full test lifecycle activities:
• Test case identification and authoring
• Review of test cases and coverage
• Test planning and execution strategy
• Facility specification and test bench booking
• Issue tracking and resolution management
• Creation and review of detailed test reports
• Collaborate with engineering, software, controls, and quality teams to align on product requirements and testing goals.
• Own and prioritize the test backlog within Agile development cycles.
• Coordinate with certification bodies and external partners for compliance with international standards (e.g., IEC, UL, IEEE).
• Analyze test outcomes and drive corrective actions for reliability improvements.
• Represent test voice in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
• Report progress against product test KPIs to leadership and stakeholders.

Knowledge / Experience

• Experience in inverter product testing and validation, with hands-on experience in pre-development test programme leadership.
• Proven ability to define and lead test efforts across system, mechanical, hardware, software, and control disciplines.
• Experience with test environments such as HIL, automated test benches, and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW).
• Solid understanding of inverter architecture, grid protocols, and control systems.
• Agile methodology experience as Product Owner or Scrum Master.

👍 Nice to Have

• Background in renewable energy systems (solar, battery storage).
• Familiarity with certification standards (e.g., IEC 62109, UL 1741 SA).
• Experience using ALM or test management tools for traceability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
