Description

A leading global insurer is strengthening its Construction underwriting team and is seeking a Senior Underwriter to help drive profitable growth across complex risks and key broker relationships. This is a high-impact role combining technical authority with strong market visibility.

The role

Underwrite complex construction and civil engineering risks in line with appetite and strategy
Own and develop broker relationships, driving new business and portfolio performance
Shape underwriting strategy through risk selection, pricing and deal structuring
Contribute to portfolio management, governance and mentoring within the wider team

What they’re looking for

Strong experience underwriting construction / engineering risks in the London or regional market
Proven broker-facing capability with a commercial, deal-driven mindset
Confidence underwriting technically complex risks with autonomy
ACII (or working towards) preferred

Hybrid working, strong brand backing, and clear scope to grow influence and responsibility.
