Job Description
Key Accountabilities & Role Requirements:
- Portfolio Management: Support with the development of underwriting of Cyber Insurance ensuring profitable growth and strong portfolio performance.
- Underwriting Excellence: Assess, price, and negotiate complex risks in accordance with underwriting guidelines and Lloyd’s compliance requirements.
- Business Development: Identify and cultivate broker and client relationships, leveraging existing market networks to expand distribution and deal flow.
- Market Presence: Represent Westfield Specialty in the Lloyd’s and broader London market, including attendance at industry events, panel discussions, and broker meetings.
- Strategic Input: Contribute to the strategic direction, build out and product development of the Cyber team, aligning offerings with evolving market trend
- Risk Analysis: Conduct technical risk analysis and collaborate with actuarial, claims, legal teams and Westfield US Cyber to support underwriting decisions.
- Governance & Reporting: Maintain underwriting discipline, documentation, and reporting in line with Lloyd’s standards and internal audit requirements.
Skills & Competencies Required
- Proven experience underwriting Cyber risks in the Lloyd’s or international insurance market.
- Technical knowledge of Cyber related risk.
- Deep understanding of market cycles, broker dynamics, and regulatory environment within Lloyd’s and global energy insurance markets.
- Commercial acumen with a track record of building profitable portfolios and strong broker relationships.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Qualifications & Experience
- Underwriting experience in Cyber Insurance.
- Educated to Degree standard.
- Desire to work towards ACII qualifications.
