Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Warehouse and Logistics Manager to oversee comprehensive warehouse operations, shipping coordination, and logistics management for high-value goods.
The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional organisational skills, meticulous stock control, and strong leadership capabilities to ensure secure and efficient operations across warehousing, distribution, and supply chain management.
This role will be based predominantly at the warehouse in South East London.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations
- Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, and packing of high-value inventory
- Maintain precise inventory accuracy through systematic stock control and regular audits
- Implement robust security procedures for high-value goods handling and storage
- Optimise warehouse layout and workflows to maximise efficiency
Shipping & Distribution
- Manage end-to-end shipping operations including carrier relationships and service level agreements
- Coordinate delivery scheduling, dispatch operations, and shipment tracking
- Ensure accurate order fulfilment and timely dispatch of goods
- Handle shipping documentation, customs requirements, and regulatory compliance
Logistics & Inventory Management
- Take full responsibility for comprehensive inventory management across all product lines
- Develop and maintain logistics strategies to optimise supply chain efficiency
- Coordinate with procurement, sales, and customer service teams to balance inventory levels
- Monitor performance metrics across warehouse, shipping, and logistics operations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operational areas
Team Leadership & Safety
- Lead and develop warehouse operatives
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and security regulations
- Create schedules and manage staffing to meet operational demands
- Foster a culture of accuracy, security, and continuous improvement
Essential Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 5 years senior warehouse and logistics management experience
- Proven experience handling high-value goods and security protocols
- Strong background in stock control and inventory management systems
- Experience with warehouse management systems
- Team leadership and people management experience
Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Advanced knowledge of inventory management and security best practices
