A vacancy has arisen within our Earth Moving After Sales department based in Weston-Super-Mare for a Service Controller. The role contributes to the success of Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd Earth Moving Technical Division through clear communication with Field Service Engineers and customers, ensuring parts and services are provided in a timely manner whilst ensuring outstanding customer service at all times and working within the Company’s key result areas; Business Performance, Customer Focus, People and Teamwork, Leadership. 1To ensure compliance with the Company’s Health & Safety Policy, Environmental Policy and Quality system.
Your Responsibilities As a Service Controller
- Assisting the After Sales Supervisor in carrying out the duties necessary in supporting the service department and providing industry leading customer service.
- Taking the lead in answering all inbound calls in a swift and efficient manner, obtaining customer details, order numbers or other authorisation when required.
- Being responsible for clear communication and updates with the customer.
- Being responsible for the organisation of all parts, labour, tooling and other necessary resources required for the efficient completion of any job.
- Preparing jobs ready to close and invoice in timely manner, justifying costs incurred to both external and internal customers (including warranty and service agreements) to ensure effective management of the depot’s WIP.
- Planning and organising services using the Service Contract Tracker.
- Assisting with communicating with Field Service Engineers to compile and prepare estimates for secondary work reported from services.
- Liaising with customers to schedule all jobs including the maintenance of machines and ensuring the complete schedules and defects are controlled through the Service mailbox and sent to customers in a timely manner.
- Taking the lead to communicate with Field Service Engineers to compile and prepare estimates for secondary work to generate sales.
- Using Liebherr systems, to be to determine tooling and spare parts requirements for field service engineers.
- Raising Sales Orders and Work Orders along with supporting Purchase Requests and Invoices internally and to customers as required.
- Ensuring information accuracy is available for engineer time sheets and overtime forms for monthly payroll submission.
- Supporting Parts Administrator in dealing with suppliers, raising purchase order numbers and closing these on goods arrival.
- Supporting After Sales Supervisor in processing and dealing with credit notes.
- Maintaining an organised system of work, ensuring filing and documentation are handled in a timely manner and logically filed.
