The salary scale above has been agreed as part of the NHS Agenda for Change pay award for 2025/2026 and will be implemented in August 2025 with arrears backdated to 1st April 2025 where applicable.

Job Overview

This position sits within the Operations Directorate of the Urgent Care Division, supporting clinical managers with high-level, confidential, and professional assistance. Under the leadership of the Head of Operations, the post holder will ensure efficient managerial support to the Operations Senior Management Team. The role is key to enabling a high-quality, cost-effective service and driving continuous improvement across the department.

This post is fixed term/secondment for 3 months to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will play a pivotal role in supporting the clinical team within the Operations Directorate, primarily through dedicated task-and-finish work to develop and implement comprehensive business continuity plans. Working closely with clinicians and senior managers, they will act as a key liaison for information queries and service strategy development, ensuring operational resilience and continuity across urgent care services. By coordinating investigations, resolving concerns at a local level, and presenting progress at team meetings, the post holder will contribute meaningfully to service improvement and efficient delivery.
