Service Lead – Youth Justice, Family Hubs and Partnerships - 05716

Are you an experienced leader in children’s services looking for an exciting new challenge? West Berkshire Council is seeking a Service Lead for Youth Justice, Family Hubs and Partnerships to work alongside the Service Director for Children’s Social Care, to lead and shape the delivery of services that make a real difference to the lives of children and families in our community.

The Role

As The Service Lead, You Will Be Responsible For

• Leading and managing the Youth Justice Service, ensuring effective delivery and compliance with national standards.
• Working in partnership with the Family Hubs Programme Manager to deliver integrated services that support families and promote positive outcomes.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and external partners.
• Overseeing the effective operation of the Children’s Trust and other partnership arrangements.
• Ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of information to the Safer Communities Partnership and other governance boards.
• Contributing to the overall leadership and management of Children and Family Services.
  
  

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• A proven track record of successfully leading and managing services for children and young people.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of youth justice, safeguarding, and the challenges faced by vulnerable groups.
• Experience of working in partnership with a range of stakeholders, including statutory and voluntary organisations.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
• A relevant professional qualification and registration with the appropriate regulatory body (e.g. Social Work England).
