We are looking for a highly skilled leader with extensive experience in managing large consultancy teams within a complex, global matrix environment, to join the senior leadership team role as within SLR Europe as the
Advisory Service Line Director, where you will lead our Advisory Service Line in Europe.
This Service Line has approximately 230 team members and comprises five technical disciplines including: Mining Advisory, Sustainable Finance, Corporate Sustainability, Energy Advisory and B4Si. The team is based across multiple jurisdictions in Europe with colleagues located in Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, and the UK.

The role
Reporting to the European Operations Director and working closely with the Global Advisory Managing Director and the Advisory Global Practice Leaders, the Regional Advisory Technical Discipline Managers, and other members of the European Management Team, you will have responsibility for leading the activities of the Advisory Service Line Operation in Europe.
Responsibilities
In collaboration with others, the key areas of responsibility are outlined below:

- Strategy and Delivery: An important element of the role is interfacing with the Global Practice Group Leaders to contribute to and ensure alignment with overarching strategies for each Technical Discipline. You will have responsibility for the tactical implementation of these strategies. As part of this you will be responsible for identifying business risks, trends and strategic growth opportunities.
- Commercial performance: You will be responsible for driving sustainable revenue and margin growth which delivers performance on or above target. This includes client relationships, business development, sustainable pipeline growth, resourcing, and the approach to working capital management (WIP & debt),
- Health & Safety: You will be responsible for the health and safety of your team. This includes the promotion of SLR’s health and safety culture and adherence to all related policies and procedures.
- Leadership & behaviours: Responsible for setting the leadership example in the service line by providing inspiring and engaging leadership both internally and externally. As part of this you will be responsible for making decisions in accordance with SLR’s values and according to what is in the best interests of the SLR Group as a whole. Promoting an entrepreneurial mindset with excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
Location
This role can be based at any of the SLR European Offices – an ability to regularly attend meeting and work out of our London office would be advantageous.
This role will require short term travel within the European Region and potentially international travel.
