Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions across multiple data centres and cloud platforms for one of our public sector clients. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert across ServiceNow core platform modules and IT Service Management (ITSM), providing architectural leadership, technical governance, and integration expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the ServiceNow subject matter expert (SME) across multiple core platforms and ITSM modules.
• Lead the design and implementation of ServiceNow solutions, ensuring scalability, resilience, and best practice adoption.
• Provide functional expertise in ServiceNow platform security, integration frameworks, and supporting technologies.
• Facilitate technical discovery sessions for new requirements and use cases, covering areas such as:
• Core platform enhancements
• Machine learning
• Integrations and automation
• Platform security
• Implementation of new ServiceNow modules or products
• Define, document, and oversee integration solutions that enable seamless interoperability between ServiceNow and 3rd party platforms.
• Produce high-level technology solution documentation, technical design artefacts, and design patterns for architecture governance.
• Influence and contribute to technical governance forums, presenting architectural solutions with clarity and impact.
• Support and mentor the wider DWP Place team, combining technical expertise with leadership and communication skills.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Attained ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) status.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions at enterprise scale across multi-datacentre and cloud environments.
• Deep knowledge of multiple ServiceNow platform modules (Core & ITSM).
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow security models, integration frameworks, and implementation best practice.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with proven experience in technical governance or architecture review boards.
• Experience delivering solution architecture artefacts, technical design documents, and integration frameworks.

Desirable Skills

• Exposure to ServiceNow AI/ML features and automation frameworks.
• Experience in large-scale public sector or government environments.
• Knowledge of DevOps pipelines, CI/CD tooling, and cloud-native integrations.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to guide multi-disciplinary teams.
