Our Role
As a Safety, Health and Environment Business Partner you will maintain expert knowledge of current health & safety legislation and provide sound advice to the business on SHE issues whilst assisting in the implementation of the SHE strategy within CML.
CML are committed to providing value added power engineering services to private network owners, embedded generation investors and carbon reducing organisations.
You will work as part of the SP ENWL safety team, working closely with the CML leadership team to drive the H&S strategy within the business and to ensure consistency and compliance with business H&S policies and procedures.
There will be travel required as part of this role both within and outside of the North West to support CML projects.
What We’re Looking For
As a Safety, Health and Environment Business Partner, you can expect to:
- Provide professional, competent and timely SHE advice
- Assist the implementation of the SHE strategy
- Support the achievement of ENWL targets by review of performance data and implementation of initiatives
- Support/coach line managers with the implementation of SHE risk controls to drive continual performance improvement
- Support resolution of day to day operational SHE concerns making recommendations for changes to the safe systems of work to address ongoing risk concerns
- Assist line managers with incident investigations
- Undertake monitoring of operational SHE performance making recommendations to address performance issues
- Development of SHE communications
Role
To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a recognised Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH National Diploma, NEBOSH General Certificate, NVQ Level 4 or equivalent). You will also require the following:
- Detailed knowledge of current H&S legislation
- Knowledge of SHE management systems
- Competent with Microsoft software packages
- Good organisational / communication skills to produce concise information
- Ability to prioritise, work to tight deadlines, both prescribed and self-imposed
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels
- Self-motivated and able to drive behaviour to motivate others
